Brittany Herbinko
Our Favorite Artist
Shmidt Spirits and Inkwell Whiskey are dreams brought to life, and that act of creation is only possible because we know and support so many other dreamers. One of the first people we ever drafted into helping us turn a wild idea into a concrete reality was Baltimore-based artist Brittany Herbinko. A friend of Master Distiller Brian J. Roan’s since they were in college, when Arthur expressed his vision of a chalk mural in the tasting room, there was no one else Brian thought of turning to for help. Arthur had been expecting a simple schematic line drawing, and when he saw the level of detail and artistry Brittany brought to the finished product, he was stunned.
Since then, Brittany has been the go-to artist for everything Shmidt Spirits. She was an inaugural artist at the first ever Installation/Distillation, and returned for the second go-around in the coveted tasting room spot. Not only that, but when Brian began working out the branding for Inkwell Whiskey, Brittany was one again the only choice when it came time to commission artwork. Her name and logo art has, since its unveiling, been the source of effusive praise.
And you can bet that whatever we do next, if there’s a level of artist skill required to achieve it, Brittany Herbinko will be our first call.
