What might shock you even more is to learn that we are located right in your own backyard! Located just outside of the Beltway in Beltsville, MD, our craft distillery is more accessible and more inviting than you might expect.

From our record-stocked lounge to our mural-adorned tasting room to the distillery floor and barrel room, you can walk and talk with Brian and Arthur, learning about what we do, how we do it, and what drives us.

Enjoy free samples of our spirits, buy a bottle or three to take home, and get to know the people that are making your new favorite liquor.

It’s common knowledge to always try before you buy. Each tour involves a full tasting of all of our spirits, where you can ask any questions you may have, learn about our favorite cocktails, and generally enjoy the fruits of our labors.

What good is a tour and tasting if your guide can’t tell you everything you want to know? When you come to Shmidt Spirits, Arthur or Brian (or both, if you’re lucky) will be there to answer all your questions. Listen to our stories, tell us your own, hang out and stay a while! We fell in love with craft spirits because of the relationships the harbored, and we love running our own distillery because it lets us meet even more people and grow even more relationships.

Arthur and Brian have spent the last two years refining cocktail recipes for each of their spirits, and now they can finally share them with you! Presently, Shmidt Spirits distillery is hosting limited cocktail hours with an eye toward building out more expansive cocktail-focused time in the near future.

So drop in on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 PM to 5 PM to enjoy a delicious craft cocktail with us! All cocktails are just $10.
